• Group counseling of CKD patients once in 15days regarding CAPD / Hemodialysis / Transplantation
• Regular screening program for Diabetes - under the project ‘READ’ – ‘Renal Evaluation Among Diabetics’ with microalbuminuria, albuminuria, eGFR estimate, HbA1C and Abd. USG.
• Regular screening program for Hypertensives –under the project ‘REACH’ – “Renal Evaluation Among Chronic Hypertensives” – with screening for Albuminuria’. BP / eGFR / Abd.USG and other relevant investigations.

ADMINISTRATION :

• Organized the 1st meeting of Tamilnadu chapter of API (TAPICON) at Madurai. Which has resulted in an active and vibrant Tamilnadu chapter of API
• Has been conducting Annual CME programs in Nephrology for the past 15years at Madurai with the aim of Popularizing Nephrology and educating the Physicians and Practitioners in the Southern Districts of Tamilnadu
• Organized the Nephrology Summit at Madurai involving the majority of Tamilnadu Nephrologists and is the founder Secretary of Nephrology Association of Tamilnadu and Puducherry (NATPU)

• Regularly conducting Annual CME Update in Nephrology in Madurai – 1 day session in March every year for the past 12 years;  150 Physicians take part in it annually;  Faculty consists of Nephrologists from Southern States

• Awareness program in Diabetes, Hypertension and CKD, both within our institution and outside
• TV program by M/s.JAYA TV on Kidney Disease for the public awareness –a 30min program in 2011
• FM Radio – Health awareness message – periodically on important occasions like, World Kidney Day, World Health Day, World Diabetes Day etc.,
• Organized Medical camps for Kidney Donors every years as a follow-up and recognition of their noble act
• Periodic education programs for Nurses on Renal Replacement Therapy, Patient care, CAPD and infective control

INNOVATION:-

• Has been offering free follow-up for all Post renal transplant patients of our hospital, all thorough their life time, since 1989 – 2012
• Free follow-up for ally kidney donors of our institution
